"I disapprove of this bowl being empty." -Mr. Patch

......

So last night we're sitting on the couch, watching tv and all of a sudden I hear "squeak, squeak..... squeak, squeak, squeak ...."

Me: Do you hear that?
A: Hear what?
Me: That.... squeaking...
A: (starts to ignore me and goes back to watching tv)
Me: Honey, seriously. Do you hear that?
A: Hear what???
Me: (gets up and walks to dining room, turns on light)

What did I find? Princess Chloe torturing a poor little field mouse! It was half dead and she was swatting it with her paws. My little hunter. So of course I scream and run up the stairs. A then proceeds to get a plastic container, scoop it up and throw it outside.

Not more than 30 minutes later, I go to let Henry outside and she had another one cornered in the kitchen! So A caught that one too and threw it outside. Poor little guys. Although, I have to admit, I'm quite proud of Chloe! I've never seen her catch a mouse before! At least she knows what she's doing. I told her no napping today. She needs to search high and low while I'm at work and round up all the little mice so we can catch them and release them back into the wild that is the backyard. She said not to worry. She's on the job.

I remember once we were sitting on the couch reading and Smokey was sitting between us, and then all of a sudden she leaped off the couch at like Mach 5 and tore across the room! We had no idea what she was doing until we realized she had caught a little mousie! Shawn managed to save it and put it outside before Psycho Cat could kill it, but for the next few days she was "patrolling" the living room in the same spot she had found the mouse! We were pretty impressed that such a big fat cat could move so quick and have such good reflexes!

Are blue bowls more empty than bowls of other colors, I wonder? Thanks for popping over to my blog and yes it does feel good to have a rescued animal, ablsolutley.
