Guinevere & Henry

I shot this video of Guinevere grooming Henry last night.  If you listen closely you can here Penny babbling in the background too:)

Hi everyone! I'm back:) Hope you enjoyed Andy's guest post!

We had a great 4th of July weekend. We went to Andy's dad's house yesterday and Henry got to swim in the pool. I wish I had made a video of him so you could see. It's absolutely hilarious! He jumps right in and then won't get out. He just swims back and forth barking at the water the whole time. Of course now he's exhausted. He'll probably sleep for 2 days straight!

Back to bugs!

Thanks to everyone who commented on what kind of litter they use for their buns. I'm going to try some of them and see what works for us.

Now back to our regularly scheduled program... cats vs. bugs! (My favorite part is at 1:02 when they hear Henry coming.) And just so you know, Arthur proceeded to eat the stink bug right after I stopped filming. The farts that came out that cat later were fierce.

We're back!

It's been crazy around here, and combined with computer issues, I haven't had a chance to blog! We just got a new computer yesterday, so we're back!

I feel like we've been living at the vet lately though. Guinevere's eye goobers still aren't totally gone. We're on our third round of drugs with her. And now Henry's ear problems are back too, so between the two of them, we've been at the vet every week this month! Good thing we have a great vet. They are both getting better though. Guinevere's eyes look almost totally better now and Henry seems to be scratching less.

The kittens are growing soooo fast. Everyone is getting along really well. Enjoy some pics!

My husband is a saint...

Henry doesn't stop moving very often. When he eats, he walks around the first floor of our house while chewing his food. So, of course, that means we have little bits of half-chewed-slobbery-fell-out-of-Henry's-mouth dog food all over the kitchen, living room and dining room. At least once a week we have to sweep the floors and vacuum the carpet to get rid of all of it when we finally get fed up of stepping on little pieces with our bare feet. It's really quite ridiculous. And the funniest part about it is that there are these little black bits in his food that look exactly like rabbit doots, so half the time you look down and think, how did that get there? The rabbits are downstairs! Anyway, it's time for another sweep/vacuum session, which prompted this comment from Andy last night:

"Thanks for classing up the joint, Henry. Nothing says classy like dog food everywhere."

Springer Sunday - The Easter Edition

I snapped this quick picture last week. The buns were out running around and Pumpkin kept going right up to Henry to say hi! (Don't worry, I ALWAYS supervise when the buns are out and Henry is around. He's very good with them, but I'm not taking any chances.)

Happy Easter Everybun!!

We're having a lazy weekend here at The Zoo. I've been baking bread, A has been building picture frames, and the animals have all been napping...

It's a Christmas Miracle!!!!!

I just walked into the living room a couple minutes ago to find this:

Can you believe it?!? Dog and Cat... coexisting on the same piece of furniture... less than a foot away from each other!!! It's a Christmas miracle! This has never happened before!

Excuse me while I go pinch myself...

Christmas in Connecticut

Next, we drove up to Connecticut to stay with my parents for a few days. Here is my parent's Christmas tree...

It was fun seeing family and friends who still live in the area, like Grace (my best friend) and her husband Shawn. Grace really wants a dog but Shawn keeps saying no, so we made him come over to spend a little quality time with Henry. He'll be changing his mind in no time!

Lots of presents were exchanged. Here is my mom modeling the scarf I knit for her!

And Henry, never one to be left out, had to get in on the action!

Even Henry got a present from "Grandma and Grandpa"!! (Can you tell they are anxious for some grand kids???)

My brother Matt, who is a huge Red Sox fan, got a very special gift this year. An autographed ball from one of the players! Which one was it Matt??

And last but not least, Handy Andy got another tool!! :)

Christmas in Pennsylvania

So as soon as I opened up my new camera on Christmas morning and Henry immediately became my favorite subject...

I woke him up to get this one... sleepy pup!

We even went outside for a little photo shoot...

And then back inside to fall asleep by the roaring fire...

...on our new favorite chair.

AAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!

It snowed all day yesterday and last night and today we woke up to...

...six inches of SNOW! (Ok, I have to admit, it is pretty... but for some reason I'm just not in the mood this year! Is it spring yet??)

Henry LOVES the snow! He really loves to stick his head in it and eat it too. Silly dog:)
