Patch

So my little boy is doing much better. I picked him up last night and they sent me home with a whole arsenal of stuff. Three times a day, I have to give him Reglan, which is a motility agent to get his GI tract moving, 20 minutes before each meal. Then I have to feel him 3 syringe fulls of Critical Care and then give him an antibiotic twice a day. How fun for me.

Patch doesn't seem to mind the Reglan, which they said is cherry flavored, but he really doesn't like the Critical Care. It took me about 30 minutes to get him to eat it all this morning. Hopefully he starts eating on his own soon!! Right now he's pouting in the corner. He's clearly not pleased with me.

Pumpkin on the other hand got a little taste of the Critical Care and seems to love it! Go figure. Well, I'm off to attempt to get some things done before the next feeding:)

Great that he is back home! :~) Some buns love plain canned pumpkin, he might eat that on his own. Good luck with those feedings.....

So happy he's back home. Maybe Pumpkin will fill him in that the medicine is not so yucky.

Oh man I'm sorry Patch is not feeling well but am glad to hear he's back home. It's so hard with bunns as they are so delicate. I'm glad to hear you caught the problem early. I hope he takes his critical care without more fuss and gets to feeling better fast. He's a sweet guy

Thank you for visiting my blog and sharing your encouragement at the passing of O'Reilly. I was so blessed by all the kind words, it was a very difficult time Still hard but rescuing Fidget from the shelter sure is helping

I'm so happy the little guy is back home! Yay. I was worried for him and his bunny tummy! The feedings sound like a lot of fun, though...eek! God forbid Smokey ever gets sick and we have to administer drugs to her...can you imagine?!?!
